Shirley Parsons is joining forces with Facilities Show, along with Safety & Health Expo and SHP Online, to create a series of golf events to bring golf lovers from the facilities management and health and safety communities together.
Facilities Show has been running successful golf days in the FM industry for many years now. Shirley Parsons boasts a similar long-standing reputation, and the two are excited to add two new golf events into the calendars of H&S and FM professionals.
One golf event will be running in the south of England in May and another running further north in September. Both events will be in association with Facilities Show, SHP Online and Safety & Health Expo. Gerry Pearson, Managing Director of Shirley Parsons, said: “We’re passionate about both our role in the H&S community and the game of golf at Shirley Parsons, so what better than to hold an event whereby industry peers can connect whilst enjoying a favourite pastime! Having annual golf days for the past 12 years it is exciting evolve our offering in joining forces with Facilities Show, Safety & Health Expo and SHP to hold both a north and south event. Now more of the FM and H&S community can get involved in a great day out with their peers at one of the UK’s premier golf courses.”
Shirley Parsons has considerable golf pedigree in its ranks thanks to its Director of Consulting Services. Jamil Qureshi was Europe’s first ever Ryder Cup psychologist in 2006 when Europe romped to a record 18 - 9 victory over the US. Jamil, along with Gerry Pearson, is also active in the H&S leadership community, having held several Leadership First events which bring industry thought leaders together for development workshops and networking.

About Centurion Club
Widely regarded as one of the best new courses in the UK, Centurion Club’s 18 hole course has been open for play since 2013. The private member’s club is located on the west side of St Albans and very therefore easily accessible for those travelling to play this golf event. The course begins by winding through tall pines on holes 1 to 5, before moving to parkland style holes in the middle of the round, which have been carefully shaped to make the most of the natural terrain, with elevated tees set up to take advantage of views across beautiful countryside. From the 14th, you’ll return to the woodland before a challenging par 5 18th hole which finishes next to the clubhouse with the green surrounded by water! Of particular note, is the all year round quality of the undulating greens.
The clubhouse and terrace provide a stunning setting for your post-round drinks and meal.
